Archive of Color (2025-?)

Archive of Color is an ongoing artistic research project that explores the relationships between plants, color, and place. Through walking, collecting plant material, extracting color, and dyeing recycled textiles, I create site-specific archives of colors found within particular landscapes.

Rather than following botanical classifications, I approach plants through an intuitive and embodied experience of place - attending to color, scent, texture, and the encounters that emerge through working with them. The colors become both material records of individual plants and traces of a particular time and location.

The project began during a residency in Libken, Germany, and has since developed through research in Krosino, along the Parsęta River in Poland, and in Bucharest, Romania. Each location gives rise to a distinct body of research, resulting in a site-specific publication and textile work. Together, these works form an expanding archive of colors and the landscapes, plants, and encounters from which they emerge.
