Center of Polish Sculpture, Orońsko, Poland
14.09—14.09.2026

The installation aims to commemorate the Oronka stream flowing through Orońsko, just behind the walls of the Polish Sculpture Center, and highlight its importance to local ecosystems. Despite its modest length of 21.21 km, the stream is a significant feature of the landscape, serving as a habitat for many species of plants and animals.

As part of the project, 21 ceramic bowls were created, each symbolizing one kilometer of the river. The installation also functions as rainwater reservoirs and can serve as water sources for birds and insects, supporting local biodiversity.

The project has an artistic and ecological dimension, encouraging reflection on the relationship between humans and rivers, while emphasizing the need to protect rivers and sustainably manage water resources.

The artwork was created during the 5th International Symposium of Contemporary Sculpture.
